Digital X-Rays - Digital Radiography produces quicker, patient friendly X-Rays Radiography is an essential part of the endodontic procedure. There are several advantages of using the Digital Radiography in the dental office:
- Less radiation exposure. Although the dental X-Rays are very safe the Digital X-Ray uses only one sixth the amount of radiation
- The system allows the Digital X-Ray to appear on a chairside computer screen, this allows the patient to better understand the procedure.
- Patient's time in the office is reduced due to the speed of processing the images
Operating Microscopes - Magnification is an invaluable tool that increases visibility of the finest detals such as; cracks in the teeth, fine root canal orifices and/or lateral canals. It's also very important part of Apicoectomies and their success. Dr Barsemian uses the microscope on a routine basis for Root Canal Treatments and Retreatments as well as Apicoectomies.
Rotary Instrumentation - These instruments made of nickel titanium are used in conjunction with hand instruments and antimicrobial agents to clean and shape root canals.
Ultrasonic Instruments - These instruments are used to remove posts and metal instruments separated in the tooth, during surgery, as well as finding calcified canals. They are also very helpful in preparing the tooth for a retrograde filling during surgical procedures such as Apicoectomies.
